Loving this look. The way she has paired it with crimson lips and a breton tee, it brings out the gorgeous hue of the coat so its not so “brown.” Definetely need to buy a caramel coat for winter.

Its Friday and I finally got through my first week back at work, away from the ocean without tooo much drama. Ok, I cracked yesterday and got a decent serving of post holiday blues, but Im ok now, raring to go into the weekend with a smile. I couldn’t help starting to think warm and happy thoughts when I saw these photos from Garance Dore and The Sartorialist of their trip to Brazil.
The colours are so warm and inviting. I can almost feel the sensation of having just walked out of a cool place into the scorching heat of the sun. Blinded by all the colours with the faint sound of the waves and the air tinged with salt.
My aunt is Brazilian and images like these make me want to pack a suitcase with my nices bathers, get a spary tan and jump on the next plane out, just so I can experience for myself all the things she speaks about when I get a chance to talk to her. Maybe one day, I’ll get the chance, but for now I’ll have to just live in my daydreams.

Olivia Palermo has got some serious style. Seriously cool and effortless. Its her signature style! Every photograph you see of her, she looks amazing.
Im in the midst of a style makeover. Its alot harder than it sounds, finding a signature style. No more being pushed by trends and what friends are wearing, no more buying clothes that dont flatter in the right way just because they are cool or everyone has them. Its about finding what suits you, what looks best on you.
Thats what I admire about Olivia’s style, everything belongs, it suits her and fits in with her personality (or so I think!). So what’s your signature style?

I love Maxi Dresses, they hide all the things I dont want the world to see, but show the best parts too. Plus they are oh so romantic don’t you think? I really like how this maxi has been toughend up with a blazer. Perfect for those few and far between summer evenings when its a little chilly.

Man Im in a fantastic mood today, the sun is out, the temperature is rising and im all inspired by colour! Im even wearing a skirt today that has beautiful roses printed all over it like a painting. Im totally stepping out of my comfort zone! ok, maybe not completly as i have paired the skirt with black tights and tank…. but im getting there! Promise!!
Anywho! I came across this photo by The Sartorialist this morning and it makes me want to go out and buy something in periwinkle blue (man how i love that word… periwinkle hehe).

Saba – the iconic Australian lable has taken a foray into Denim with the help of streetstyle photographer Scott Schuman. What was once a lable i thought was more “workplace” oriented, has now had a new lease on life! Plus it doesnt help to have good looking guys and gals in the ad campaign!
